Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Construction Quality Manager II to oversee the quality control program on large or multi-phase projects. You will write the project QC plan, lead three-phase control meetings, and supervise field inspectors and technicians while ensuring all tests and nonconformances are addressed with documented actions.

You will work with owners and engineers under USACE/NAVFAC quality requirements, travel to active sites, and drive NCRs to closure.

Qualifications

6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection.
2+ years supervising inspectors.
USACE CQM-C certificate plus ICC special inspector or NICET Level III certification.
Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
Writes clearly and holds the line in a room of superintendents and owner representatives.

Responsibilities

Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians.
Assign daily coverage and review their reports.
Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings.
Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
