Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to lead the quality control program on large or multi-phase projects, including heavy civil, industrial, and federal work under USACE or NAVFAC requirements. You will oversee field inspectors, write the QC plan, and be the point of contact for all test results and nonconformances.

Your week centers on feature-based inspections, NCR handling, and data-driven reporting to owners and superintendents.

Qualifications

6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection.
2+ years supervising inspectors.
USACE CQM-C certificate required; ICC/NICET certifications desirable.

Responsibilities

Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians; assign daily coverage and review reports.
Run nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings.
Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
