Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to lead the quality control program on large projects, including heavy civil, industrial, or federal work under USACE or NAVFAC quality requirements.

You will write the project QC plan, run the three-phase control meetings, supervise inspectors, coordinate lab testing and certifications, and own test results and NCRs. Travel to active job sites with per diem as assigned.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection.
• 2+ years supervising inspectors.
• USACE CQM-C certificate and ICC NICET Level III or equivalent.
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner programs.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians.
• Assign daily coverage and review their reports.
• Run the nonconformance and corrective action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
