Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to run the quality control program on large or multi-phase projects, including heavy civil, industrial, or USACE/NAVFAC work. You will write and defend the project QC plan, lead three-phase control meetings, and own test results and NCR resolution.

You will supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians, coordinate labs and material certifications, and report to the owner's QA representative.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection, including 2+ years supervising inspectors.
• USACE CQM-C certificate plus ICC special inspector or NICET Level III certification.
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
• Writes clearly and holds the line in a room of superintendents and owner representatives.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians.
• Assign daily coverage and review their reports.
• Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
