Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Construction Quality Manager II to oversee the quality control program on large or multi-phase projects, including heavy civil, industrial, or federal work under USACE/NAVFAC standards. You will write the project QA plan, lead three-phase control meetings, and be accountable for all test results and nonconformances.

You will supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians, coordinate lab activities, and present NCR resolutions in owner QA/QC settings.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection, including supervisory experience.
• USACE CQM-C certificate plus ICC special inspector or NICET Level III certification.
• Experience with USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
• Clear and firm written communication in QA/QC meetings and reports.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan, securing acceptance by owners or agencies.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for each definable feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians; assign daily coverage and review reports.
• Run nonconformance and corrective-action processes and present in owner QA/QC meetings.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subs.
• Review test logs and reconcile with specifications; respond to the owner's QA representative with data.
