Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to lead the quality control program on large or multi-phase projects, including heavy civil, industrial, or USACE/NAVFAC work. You will write the project QC plan and chair three-phase control meetings with field inspectors reporting to you.

You supervise QC inspectors, coordinate lab testing and material certifications, and own the NCR process with documented causes and corrective actions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection.
• USACE CQM-C certification and ICC/NICET Level III certification.
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
• Writes clearly and holds the line in meetings with superintendents and owner representatives.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians.
• Assign daily coverage and review reports.
• Run nonconformance and corrective-action processes and present in owner QA/QC meetings.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
