Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Construction Quality Manager II to lead the quality control program on large or multi‑phase projects, including heavy civil, industrial, or USACE/NAVFAC work. You write the project quality control plan, run the three‑phase control meetings, and stand across from the owner's QA representative.

You supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians, review reports, coordinate lab testing and certifications, and lead NCRs with documented causes and corrective

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection
• USACE CQM-C certificate plus ICC/NICET certifications
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs
• Writes clearly under pressure in meetings with superintendents and owner reps

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians
• Assign daily coverage and review their reports
• Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors
