Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to lead the quality control program on large, multi-phase projects including heavy civil and federal work under USACE or NAVFAC. You will write the project QC plan, run three-phase control meetings, and own all test results and NCRs in collaboration with the owner's QA rep.

You will supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians, coordinate lab testing and certifications, and manage travel to active sites across projects.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection.
• USACE CQM-C certificate plus ICC special inspector or NICET Level III.
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
• Clear written communication and ability to assert positions with project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for each definable feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians; assign daily coverage and review reports.
• Run nonconformance and corrective-action processes and present results in owner QA meetings.
• Coordinate lab testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
