Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a qualified Quality Manager II to oversee the quality control program on large or multi-phase projects, including heavy civil, industrial, or USACE/NAVFAC work. You will write the project QC plan, lead phase meetings, and be the primary answerer for test results and nonconformances.

You will supervise QC inspectors, coordinate laboratory testing and material certifications, and present corrective actions in owner QA/QC meetings.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection, including 2+ years supervising inspectors.
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
• USACE CQM-C certificate plus ICC/NICET Level III certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for each definable feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians.
• Assign daily coverage and review their reports.
• Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
