Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to lead the quality control program on large, multi-phase projects—heavy civil, industrial, or federal work under USACE or NAVFAC quality requirements. You will manage field inspectors and technicians, write the project QC plan, and own NCRs and corrective actions with the owner’s QA representative.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection.
• 2+ years supervising inspectors.
• USACE CQM-C certificate plus ICC Special Inspector or NICET Level III certification.
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
• Strong written communication and ability to assert standards with superintendents and owners.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and secure acceptance by the owner or agency.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for each feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians; assign daily coverage.
• Run nonconformance and corrective-action processes and present in owner QA/QC meetings.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
