Job summary

Accura Engineering is seeking a Construction (QA) Inspector for a Louisville, KY location with a requirement for federal project experience. The role focuses on surveillance, code compliance, and reporting across all construction phases, ensuring workmanship and safety standards are met.

You will support contract modifications and review subcontractor plans and submittals to maintain schedule integrity. Candidates should have a strong background in vertical construction, hospital projects

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma/GED; higher degree preferred.
• 10+ years on construction contract administration and inspection on large DoD/USACE projects.
• Vertical construction experience; hospital projects preferred.
• Experience with relevant codes and standards is required.
• Specialized codes may be needed: NFPA 101, NEC, IPC, NFPA 13/72, ASHRAE/NEBB

Responsibilities

• Deliver surveillance reports on construction phases for compliance with plans and specs.
• Provide technical guidance to ensure conformance with standards and design instructions.
• Perform inspections and complete daily site reports including safety and manpower notes.
• Monitor progress, identify problems, and advise on contract modifications.
• Prepare engineering plans or reports and support contract modification processes.
• Review contractor plans and submittals for approval actions; monitor safety and quality programs.
• Track progress and alert the team to potential delays; perform other duties as needed.
