Job summary

Lennar is seeking a Sr. Purchasing Manager to lead the Purchasing operation for the Division, writing specifications and scope of work, managing budgets for vertical construction, and coordinating with architects, engineers, and trade partners.

The role requires strong negotiation, leadership, and construction knowledge, with a focus on cost management, schedule adherence, and exceptional communication with internal teams and vendors.

Qualifications

• Ten years of experience in Purchasing or related field.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.
• High degree of construction knowledge.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Knowledge of JD Edwards accounting software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and update policies and procedures surrounding the Purchasing Department.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants and engineers for plan status and submittals.
• Prepare product specifications and bid packages; coordinate and spread bids.
• Negotiate contracts with trade partners and approve extras.
• Manage budgets for vertical construction and maintain cost controls.
• Coordinate with Directors and regional teams on purchasing initiatives.
