Job summary

Hamilton College is seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager to lead and oversee campus construction from planning through closeout. You will act as the college's primary liaison with architects, engineers, and contractors, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget while complying with codes and institutional standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a construction-related field; relevant experience accepted in lieu of degree.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex capital projects from planning through closeout.
  • Experience in higher education, institutional, or public sector construction preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction codes, safety regulations, and contract administration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication for senior leadership presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee construction projects from inception to closeout.
  • Serve as Owner's representative to architects, engineers, contractors, and campus departments.
  • Monitor schedule, budget, and change orders; report progress and adjust as needed.
  • Develop logistics plans, cost estimates, and feasibility assessments.
  • Lead progress meetings; ensure conformance with scope and budget.
  • Ensure compliance with codes, OSHA standards, and institutional policies.
  • Maintain closeout documentation, warranties, and maintenance manuals; capture lessons learned.

Professional Engineer (PE) License or Registered Architect (RA)
Project Management Professional (PMP)
