Job summary

Hamilton County, Ohio is seeking a dedicated Project Manager to oversee capital improvement and maintenance projects from design through closeout. The role directs architects, engineers, and construction managers, manages budgets from small to large scopes, and ensures all work complies with contract documents and county policies.

The successful candidate will coordinate bid packages, lead meetings, monitor expenditures, and serve as the owner’s representative with consultants and contractors,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business Administration or related field.
• 2 years experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Demonstrable physical fitness and ability to access required work sites.

Responsibilities

• Functions as Project Manager for CIP/CMP projects, directing design teams and contractors; schedules projects and prepares bid packages.
• Maintains budget and prepares monthly reports; reviews expenditures and invoices.
• Ensures compliance with County and State policies; oversees construction quality and safety.
• Represents department at meetings; acts as owner’s representative with contractors, architects and engineers.
• May be on call 24/7 for assigned projects and ensures regular attendance.
