Job summary

Housing Authority of the City of Newark is seeking a Construction Project Manager to lead construction initiatives from inception to completion within regulatory requirements. You will develop plans, schedules, allocate resources, and manage budgets to deliver quality housing solutions for the community.

You will coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders; monitor progress, inspect sites for safety, obtain permits, report to senior management, and implement risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, preferably residential or commercial.
• Experience with housing authorities or similar public sector entities is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans and schedules, including resource allocation and budgeting.
• Coordinate and manage all phases of construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project specifications are met.
• Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process.
• Ensure all necessary permits and licenses are obtained and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
• Facilitate effective communication among project team members and stakeholders.
• Implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential project risks.
