Construction Project Manager — $130,000–$280,000 (NYC)
My client is a rapidly growing Developer & General Contractor specializing in affordable housing, occupied renovations, and large-scale community-focused construction projects across the NYC boroughs.
They are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee a strong pipeline of occupied renovation and redevelopment projects within the NYCHA portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of NYCHA renovation and redevelopment projects from planning through closeout
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, inspectors, and community stakeholders
- Oversee budget management, scheduling, procurement, and change orders
- Ensure compliance with NYCHA requirements, safety protocols, grant/financing rules, and building codes
- Conduct regular site visits, resolve field issues, and maintain quality control
- Prepare and deliver clear progress reports, documentation, and communication to leadership
- Drive project performance, team coordination, and timely completion across multiple sites
Requirements
- 8+ years’ experience in construction project management within NYC
- Previous experience with NYCHA, affordable housing, HPD or occupied rehab strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of NYC building codes, safety regulations, and agency compliance
- Proven ability to manage multiple contractors, schedules, and project budgets
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively within occupied buildings and community environments
