Job summary

The Newark Housing Authority is seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee housing development projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and compliance with codes. You will develop detailed project plans, coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors, conduct site inspections, obtain permits, manage risk, and report progress to senior management.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Construction Management or related field, at least 5

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
5+ years of construction project management experience, preferably residential or commercial.
Experience with housing authorities or public sector is desirable.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, codes, and regulations.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Develop comprehensive project plans and schedules with budgets.
Coordinate all phases of construction with architects, engineers, and contractors.
Monitor progress, adjust plans, and ensure on-time delivery.
Perform site inspections to ensure safety and code compliance.
Prepare status reports for senior management.
Resolve issues and manage permits throughout lifecycle.
Foster clear communication among project team and stakeholders.
Implement risk management strategies to mitigate risks.
