Job summary

Ajax Building Company seeks a driven Project Manager to lead planning and execution of complex construction projects in the Southeast. You will partner with field leadership, subs, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.

You will be the primary contact for owners, architects, and engineers, actively managing cost and risk. The Project Manager reports to the Project Executive and will oversee procurement, contract administration, and performance

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction project management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering or related field.
• General Contractor License preferred.
• Strong understanding of industry practices and trends and their impact on the corporation.
• Advanced interpersonal, communicative, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Hire, lead, develop, and manage project personnel per policies and project needs.
• Lead overall project execution with field teams, subs, and stakeholders.
• Establish and implement project operating procedures for consistency and efficiency.
• Oversee budgets and schedules, ensuring accountability and proactive risk management.
• Review project reports to manage cost, schedule, quality, and safety.
• Manage procurement and approve material purchases and equipment rentals.
• Serve as primary representative with owners, architects, engineers, and stakeholders.
• Oversee contract administration including approvals and costs with subs/vendors.
• Audit project activities from contract execution through closeout and warranty.
• Build relationships with teams, clients, subs, and partners for successful delivery.
• Promote safety, quality, and continuous improvement via initiatives like QIP.
