Job summary

Ajax Building Company seeks a Project Manager to lead planning and execution of complex construction projects in the Atlanta area. You will coordinate field leadership, subcontractors, and stakeholders to deliver safe, on-schedule, on-budget results.

You will act as primary contact for owners, architects, and engineers and report to the Project Executive. Strong leadership, budgeting, and scheduling skills are essential for success and financial performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction project management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field.
• General Contractor License preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Hire, supervise, and delegate duties of project personnel per policies.
• Develop and implement project operating procedures.
• Approve material purchases and equipment rentals not covered in the estimate or on hand.
• Act as company representative in negotiations with owners.
• Approve the purchase of tools and supplies on jobsite.
• Approve all contract agreements and cost of outside repairs of equipment on site.
• Review reports to monitor time, cost, quality and safety.
• Oversee preparation of the project budget and schedule.
• Audit activities from contract signing to warranty period.
• Maintain active participation in the Quality Improvement Plan.
• Maintain good relations with project teams, subcontractors, and owners.
