Job summary

Beal Derkenne Construction in Des Moines, IA, seeks a Commercial Construction Senior Project Manager to lead complex projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring safety, profitability and schedule adherence.

You will champion project execution, coordinate with estimators, procurement, and field teams, develop CPM schedules, manage change orders, and oversee billing and cash flow. Step I/II progression with $20M+ project exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• Four-year construction degree or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of contract documents, scheduling, and cash flow.
• Experience in preconstruction and managing projects.
• Strong preconstruction and bidding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of assigned projects to ensure safety, profitability, and timeliness.
• Coordinate with estimating, procurement, and field supervision.
• Develop and manage CPM schedules and Lean scheduling.
• Oversee change orders, cost control, and budget adherence.
• Manage billings and payments to maintain cash flow.
• Support business development through client relations and proposals.
• Provide monthly progress reports and procurement planning.
