Job summary

The Weitz Company is seeking a Senior Pre-Construction Manager in Des Moines, IA to lead medium-to-large preconstruction efforts on data center projects. You will drive estimating, scheduling, constructability reviews, and value analysis while mentoring the project team and aligning deliverables with client goals.

You will oversee internal staff, manage risk, and coordinate with design teams to ensure a flawless handoff to construction and operations, all on a fast-paced Mission Critical

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of estimating and/or project management in construction.
• Experience leading others and mentoring teams.
• Data center project experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction with estimating, scheduling, constructability reviews, and value analysis.
• Provide accurate conceptual and detailed cost estimates and feasibility studies.
• Oversee design-phase progress and ensure alignment with scope and budget.
• Coordinate risk analysis and provide cost and schedule insights.
• Facilitate handoffs to operations with smooth transitions.
