Job summary

W.E. O'Neil Construction seeks a Senior Project Superintendent to control field activities, supervise on-site operations, and mentor multiple project staff across one or more projects in the Los Angeles area.

The role requires hands-on field leadership, budget management, and strong coordination with subcontractors, vendors and owners. A Four-year construction degree or extensive field experience is needed, with OSHA 30 and safety certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field or 10–15 years of field experience.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Proficiency in scheduling software (MS Project or P6) and project management tools such as Prolog, Viewpoint, CMiC.
• Knowledge of various construction delivery methods, market sectors, and construction administration.
• Completion of OSHA 30-Hour Safety Course; First Aid and CPR certified.

Responsibilities

• Supervise field activities on projects with budgets up to $150M+ under various delivery methods.
• Mentor Project Superintendent(s), Assistant Project Superintendent(s), Field Engineer(s) and laborers.
• Develop, maintain and enforce site safety programs and SWPPP measures.
• Coordinate all material deliveries and subcontracts.
• Assist in preparation of scopes of work for bid packages and change orders.
• Maintain the project baseline schedule and eight‑week look‑ahead plans.
