Job summary

DPR Construction seeks a seasoned project leader in the New York area to drive complex commercial, healthcare, and life sciences projects from preconstruction through closeout. The role partners with clients, designers, and trade partners to achieve strategic goals and operational excellence.

The successful candidate will mentor project teams, implement strong project controls, and lead risk management to ensure safety, quality, and schedule.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of experience in construction project management
• 5+ years in a leadership capacity
• Experience managing large, complex commercial, healthcare, life sciences, or advanced technology projects
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification preferred; completion within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Oversees the full project lifecycle from business award through final completion, ensuring delivery of scope, budget, schedule, safety, and quality objectives.
• Manages project teams including project managers, project engineers, and field staff while aligning with project execution plans.
• Maintains dependable project controls processes to stay in line with the Prime Agreement and project goals, enabling early issue detection and mitigation.
• Mentors and develops team members through coaching, performance feedback, and individualized training plans.
• Drives continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and implementing process enhancements across all phases of delivery
