Job summary

Austin Commercial is seeking a Senior Project Manager for the Orlando, FL Division. You will lead a major commercial construction project from planning to close-out, with responsibility for schedule, cost control, and team leadership.

You will collaborate with owners and architects during plan development, manage bid processes, and ensure safety and quality standards across the project workforce. This role offers ESOP ownership and a path to executive-level impact.

Qualifications

• B.S. in construction management/science, engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training required (may obtain within first year of employment).
• Proficient in project manager software.
• Proficient with cost projection, scheduling, financial analysis, budget reviews and labor reports.
• Ability to build and manage multiple high performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversees a major construction project by planning, scheduling and coordinating all phases of the project.
• Organizes and manages a large project staff where the duties of project managers and superintendents must be divided between multiple employee-owners.
• Assists with preconstruction input, plan development, and final cost estimates.
• Oversees startup activities and coordinates with site teams and suppliers for deliveries.
• Reviews subcontractor bids, ensures bonds and insurance, and resolves contract issues.
• Ensures contract terms are met, inspects work, and maintains quality standards.
• Approves subcontractor work for payments and manages close-out documentation.
• Maintains cost accounting and monthly job status reports.
• Develops and maintains master construction schedules with CPM updates.
• Evaluates changes, negotiates pricing, and secures owner approvals for scope changes.
• Ensures compliance with laws and safety procedures, and mitigates risk.
• Leads and mentors the project team for growth and development.
