Job summary

Austin Commercial in Orlando, FL is seeking a Project Area Manager to lead large, complex commercial construction projects across the Southeast Division. You will guide project teams, drive operational excellence, and foster strong client relationships from preconstruction through closeout.

The role emphasizes safety, scheduling, quality, and cost control while expanding business development efforts and mentoring future leaders within the ESOP-owned company.

Qualifications

• B.S. in construction management/science, engineering, or a related discipline is strongly preferred.
• 15+ years of combined project management and field operations experience is typically required.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training is required (or obtained within first year).
• Ability to lead high-performing teams across multiple projects concurrently.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; sponsorship is not provided by Austin Commercial.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee large, complex commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Review jobsite progress and participate in OAC meetings with project teams and stakeholders.
• Drive safety, startup activities, hoisting planning, scheduling, and quality assurance across projects.
• Manage subcontractor performance, buyouts, and cost control to align with budgets and schedules.
• Support business development and strategic planning to grow Austin Commercial’s presence in the Southeast.
