Job summary

Austin Commercial is seeking a Safety Manager for the Southeast Division in Orlando, FL. You will manage the site safety program, educate staff on federal, state, and local laws, and ensure compliance with the company’s safety manual and policies.

You will also train teams and lead incident investigations to uphold our safety standards. The role requires 6–8 years of construction safety experience, OSHA 500 certification, CPR/First Aid, and BCSP-equivalent qualifications.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years safety experience in construction is required.
• Authorized OSHA 500 Trainer.
• CPR and First Aid certifications current.
• SWPP knowledge required.
• Safety certification from BCSP or equivalent.
• Advanced knowledge of construction processes and procedures.
• Proficient in relevant software.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Builds working relationships with project staff and subcontractor safety reps.
• Creates safety reports and accident investigation documents.
• Delivers staff safety training and subcontractor development; strong presentation skills.
• Represents the company professionally with owners and subcontractors.
• Creates and leads safety training aligned with project schedules.
• Maintains relationships with key vendors and subcontractors.
• Participates in safety organizations in the region.
• Ensures compliance with the safety manual and policies.
