Florida Department of Corrections is hiring a Construction Project Consultant II on a statewide basis. The role is not a telework position and requires reporting to the FDC office serving the assigned area.

The candidate will lead major repairs and renovations across multiple correctional facilities, supervise maintenance teams, and manage contracts and budgets for new construction and major maintenance projects. Knowledge of inmate labor utilization and safety compliance is essential.

Qualificações

• Six (6) or more years of professional experience in the commercial construction field.
• Three (3) or more years of experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsabilidades

• Serve as Team Lead for maintenance systems essential to operate a major institution.
• Train General Maintenance staff within the region.
• Administer construction projects by Agency personnel, inmate labor, and contracts.
• Assist with developing plans and budget requests for the Florida Department of Corrections (FDC).
• Evaluate, select, and manage work by A/E consultants and CM firms, including contract negotiations and project compliance.
