Job summary

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in skilled building trades or maintenance work.
• Experience supervising employees, inmates, or contractors in related fields.
• Ability to plan, coordinate and direct maintenance/construction activities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of buildings, equipment and premises and determine maintenance or renovation needs.
• Estimate costs for labor and materials and ensure code compliance.
• Manage supervisory staff, budgets, policies, and procedures.
• Evaluate bids and prepare specifications for equipment, supplies, and vehicles.
• Plan and direct movement of heavy construction equipment across the state.
