Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Project Executive II to lead large projects, drive client relations, and guide the project team from pre-construction through closeout. You will establish objectives, manage budgets and contracts, and ensure profitable delivery while mentoring junior staff.

You will maintain key customer and community relationships, participate in proposals and RFPs, and support business development efforts. Travel up to 100% is required for this role in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction-related field.
• 12+ years experience in construction management overseeing large projects ($20M+)
• Willingness to travel up to 100%
• Current driver’s license
• Understanding of construction law and business practices
• Intermediate-level Microsoft Office and project/web tools

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain successful customer/community relationships by conducting key visits throughout the project and ensuring commitments are met.
• Preview proposals and participate in the RFP process.
• Support business development by enhancing client relationships.
• Oversee contract administration including terms, change requests, invoices, and progress payments.
• Set project objectives, manage budgets, and ensure profitable delivery.
• Provide leadership to the project team and review work of Senior PM and PM on the project.
• Mentor and develop team members for future career growth.
• Manage quality, risk, safety, and compliance for the project and team.
