Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an experienced Project Executive I to provide overall management for large projects, lead the project team, and sustain strong customer relations. The role requires interfacing with staff at all levels in a dynamic environment, remaining professional, proactive, and confidential.

Responsibilities include establishing customer relationships, overseeing budgets and contracts, and mentoring the project team. Travel up to 50–75% is expected, and visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent field.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in construction management overseeing large projects.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Strong customer service and professional communication.
• Travel up to 50-75%.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain successful customer and community relationships
• Conduct key customer service visits from pre-construction to close-out
• Preview proposals and participate in Request for Proposal process
• Act as primary customer contact for assigned projects
• Support business development initiatives and maintain customer relationships
• Provide oversight and accountability for large projects
• Manage contract administration, including terms, change requests, and invoices
• Maintain project budgets, costs, and pricing for profitable delivery
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance management for project team
