Job summary

Suffolk Construction is seeking a Project Executive in West Palm Beach to lead complex commercial projects from preconstruction through closeout. The role requires strong leadership, owner-relationship management, and a track record of delivering profit and client satisfaction.

You will collaborate with project teams, finance, and stakeholders to secure budgets, schedules, and quality objectives across the lifecycle of multi-site endeavors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10–15 years of construction management experience for a large-scale general contractor or CM at Risk firm.
• Self-perform experience a plus.
• In-depth knowledge of intricate commercial construction practices required.
• Experience leading multiple successful project teams including development of direct reports and maintaining relationships with external entities.
• Ability to manage and embrace change and adapt to new processes and new ways of looking at old problems.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in business judgment and all financial and profitability aspects of projects under your jurisdiction.
• Participate in the work acquisition process, developing project budgets and schedules to achieve profitability.
• Set milestones and assign staff qualified to handle project scope and complexity.
• Work with clients, owners, architects, and subcontractors to exceed client satisfaction and Suffolk standards.
• Oversee resources from start-up through closeout to meet budget, schedule, and quality goals.
• Act as the common thread owning the project from Pre-Construction through Closeout and beyond, ensuring smooth transitions to PMs and Superintendents.
• Participate in contract negotiations as requested and contribute to RFP responses.
• Lead pre-construction activities and coordinate with estimating to develop budgets and logistics.
