Job summary

Suffolk is seeking a Project Manager in West Palm Beach to lead resources, manage budgets and schedules, and oversee contract administration across a full project lifecycle.

You will coordinate with owners, architects, trade partners and the Suffolk project team, drive risk management, quality control, and proactive communication to keep the project on track and deliverables on time. You’ll chair meetings, manage shop drawings, and ensure compliance with insurance requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or applicable discipline.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to analyze financial trade-offs with incomplete data.
• Strong communication and team leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and communicate with Suffolk Field Supervision, Subcontractors and Vendors to assist them in working to the Project Schedule.
• Represent Suffolk with Owner(s), Architects, Consultants, Government Authorities, Vendors and Subcontractors.
• Administer financial aspects of the Owner’s contract, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
• Build effective working relationships with clients and the Suffolk project team members.
• Project Start-Up: review contract, confirm budget setup and milestones; create a schedule of values.
• Purchasing/document control: maintain buy schedule, log subcontracts, ensure insurance compliance.
• Meeting Management: attend and chair schedule/management meetings.
• Financial Management: manage requisitions/payments and maintain cash flow.
• Project Closeout: deliver manuals, coordinate closeout, warranties and training.
