Job summary

Walmart in Boston seeks a Senior Manager, Construction-DS to lead remodel and new construction programs, ensuring projects finish on time, within scope, and budget while guiding contractors and design partners.

You will drive risk management, enforce quality and safety standards, coordinate with procurement and operations, and report project status and financial performance to leadership. A travel up to 80% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field and 3 years’ experience in construction management, construction administration, engineering, architecture, or a related area OR 5 years’ experience in construction management, construction administration, engineering, architecture, or a related area.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with design and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction project execution ensuring completion on schedule, within scope, and budget while directing contractors and design partners.
• Review and approve construction drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure compliance with design standards and regulatory requirements.
• Manage construction compliance by enforcing Walmart and industry standards, conducting routine reviews, and addressing deviations promptly.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors to resolve issues, negotiate change orders, and monitor performance metrics related to quality and schedule.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align construction activities with operational priorities and prepare detailed project status and budget reports.
• Drive process improvements to enhance project delivery efficiency and document best practices for consistent execution.
