Job summary

Walmart is seeking a seasoned Construction Manager to oversee multiple projects from turnover to operations, ensuring budgets are met and standards are maintained. The role collaborates with contractors, estimators, and cross-functional teams to drive on-schedule delivery and compliance with applicable regulations.

Responsibilities include reviewing payments and change orders, guiding design changes, and providing leadership on new initiatives while maintaining alignment with Walmart's values

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 3 years' experience in construction management/administration, engineering, architecture, or related area; 5 years' experience in construction management/administration, engineering, architecture, or related area.

Responsibilities

• Ensures construction budgets are met by advising and reviewing budgets, reviewing and tracking monthly and quarterly budget reports with contractors and estimators.
• Reviewing and approving contractor payments, change orders and invoices; managing project scope and contingency.
• Monitors compliance with laws and regulations; establishes standards of performance for contractors and suspends noncompliant work.
• Provides leadership to cross-functional teams on construction projects and new initiatives; guiding design changes and industry best practices.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field

5 years' experience in construction management/administration/engineering/architecture
