Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Denver seeks a Construction Project Manager to lead complex design-build projects for Aviation and Federal clients, guiding EPC efforts from concept through warranty while ensuring safety, quality, schedule and cost performance.

You will manage field staff, develop project plans, coordinate with engineering, negotiate contracts, monitor cash flow, and mentor junior team members on site in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree required with 7+ years of relevant project management experience.
• Experience with document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage large volumes of work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience on aviation, commercial, energy, government, manufacturing, oil & gas, process, transportation, or water projects preferred.
• Basic understanding of GAAP; driving requirements needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day construction activities and oversee multiple projects.
• Develop project planning, scheduling, estimating, cost development and objectives.
• Manage client relationships and interface for proposals and projects.
• Negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and change orders.
• Ensure safety, quality, and financial performance of projects.
• Oversee risk reviews, reports, budgets, and cash flow forecasts.
• Coordinate with engineering for deliverables and project schedule.
• Mentor interns and junior staff; provide performance feedback.
