Job summary

Black & Veatch seeks an experienced Construction Operations Manager to lead high-impact EPC and service projects in conventional, simple cycle and combined cycle power generation. The role requires travel and the supervision of resources, tools, and strategies to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

You will drive execution in collaboration with project teams, ensure safety compliance, and shape construction outcomes across multiple sites and projects with significant budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction or equivalent relevant experience.
• 10–20 years of construction operations experience, depending on area of responsibility.
• Must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (criminal/civil background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records).
• OSHA 10 certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead craft resourcing strategies including workforce preparation and staffing alignment.
• Drive workforce planning aligned with the baseline schedule.
• Oversee construction readiness and gate reviews before mobilization and major activities.
• Deliver construction project execution across scope, schedule, cost, quality, and safety.
• Monitor site performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Build relationships with clients, alliance partners, subcontractors, and project teams.
• Develop and review construction execution plans and staffing strategies.
• Champion continuous improvement and ensure compliance with safety and project specs.
