Black & Veatch is seeking a Construction Operations Manager to lead high‑impact EPC/construction execution for power generation projects, including simple cycle and combined cycle setups. You will ensure resource readiness, manage execution strategy, and guide project teams to deliver on time and within budget.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in construction operations, strong leadership, safety focus, and ability to drive continuous improvement across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction required.
• 10–20 years of construction operations experience expected.
• OSHA 10 certification required.
• Pre-employment checks may be required (criminal/civil background, drug screen, driving records).

Responsibilities

• Lead craft resourcing strategies and workforce planning.
• Oversee construction readiness and gate reviews before mobilization.
• Drive project execution across scope, schedule, cost, quality and safety.
• Manage site performance, productivity, and cost against UR/PF curves.
• Develop and review construction execution plans for projects and proposals.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality and contract requirements.
• Build relationships with clients, partners and subcontractors.
• Coach and develop direct reports and drive continuous improvements.

Education

Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction

10-20 years of construction operations experience
