Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation is seeking an experienced Construction Operations Manager to lead high‑impact EPC and service projects in power, water, and industrial sectors. You will ensure the right resources, tools, and execution strategies are in place, driving project delivery with a focus on safety, schedule, and cost control.

The role requires 10+ years of EPC experience, leadership capability, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction or equivalent relevant experience.
• 10-20 years of construction operations experience.
• Pre-employment onboarding requirements may include criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search.
• OSHA 10 certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead craft resourcing strategies, including workforce preparation, execution planning, staffing levels, and role alignment.
• Drive workforce planning efforts in alignment with the construction baseline schedule.
• Oversee construction readiness and gate reviews prior to mobilization and major project activities.
• Deliver construction project execution across scope, schedule, cost, quality, and safety objectives.
• Guide site performance management, including productivity, cost, and UR/PF curve performance.
• Partner with Construction Resource Managers and recruiters to ensure staffing with qualified professionals.
• Direct development and review of project construction execution plans.
• Develop execution plans for projects and proposals, including staffing, scheduling, materials, equipment, risk assessments and cost estimates.
• Contribute to constructability reviews to improve efficiency and reduce costs and schedule duration.
• Monitor execution performance and implement corrective actions; communicate progress to leadership.
• Promote safety, health, and quality compliance while supporting Project Managers.
