Job summary

William Charles Construction, a MasTec company, seeks a Senior Construction Manager to lead renewables and power delivery projects across multiple sites in the Midwest and beyond. The role requires managing full construction operations, directing cross-disciplinary teams, and ensuring safety, quality, and on-schedule delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or combination of education and experience).
• 7 years of related construction industry experience/knowledge of construction techniques, estimating and construction management.
• Supervisory experience including overseeing more than three trades on large projects ($10M-100M+).
• Self-perform construction project experience with large field teams (25+ staff).

Responsibilities

• Communicate and enforce Safety policies and goals to the project team.
• Lead the project team with the PM to create a respectful and productive environment.
• Oversee overall project direction, coordination and evaluation.
• Supervise construction workers, foremen, and other managers on site.
• Coordinate activities of managers, foremen, trades, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Ensure labor and equipment requirements are met and budgets are controlled.
• Monitor production schedules and project costs to stay within budget.
• Maintain clear communication with client site management and engineers.
• Interview, hire, train, and manage direct reports; address issues and resolve problems.
• Support coaching and mentoring of apprentices and ensure PWA compliance when applicable.
