Job summary

Matrix Service Company seeks a Construction Manager IV for the National Construction Group to oversee field execution on EPC industrial projects. You will assist Operations and Project Managers in pre-job planning, safety, budgets, schedules, and subcontractor coordination, located at an assigned project site with travel as required.

The role emphasizes safety leadership, project controls, and collaboration across the team, with extensive field oversight and vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction (or 10 years of related experience in lieu of degree).
• 5+ years supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of corporate/industry practices and standards and their impact on project activities.
• Experience in oil field design, construction, finance and project management.
• Ability to apply innovative management techniques to maximize performance.
• Strong knowledge of estimating, scheduling, and cost controls; practical experience.
• Excellent communication (oral, written) and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Operations and Project Managers in pre-job planning (budgets, schedules, safety plans, quality plans, equipment, staffing, subcontractor selections).
• Provide oversight and support to payroll, accounts receivable and payable on the project.
• Direct coordination of work by subcontractors and other vendors.
• Develop construction procedures and train Foremen on best practices.
• Lead daily coordination meetings to align priorities with the project plan.
• Assist in field change orders and estimate for client projects.
• Conduct regular safety audits and enforce safety programs on site.
• Attend bid meetings and walk-downs to determine scope and content of estimates.
