Job summary

Travelers in Las Vegas, NV, seeks an experienced liability claims professional to investigate, evaluate and resolve Bodily Injury and Property Damage claims. Under general supervision, you’ll manage claims lifecycle, negotiate with insureds and claimants, and coordinate with experts to optimize outcomes.

You’ll leverage extensive knowledge of coverage, liability and damages, participate in roundtables, mentor others, and ensure compliance with quality standards and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree.
• 5 years business experience.
• Advanced level knowledge and skill in claim and litigation.
• Basic working level knowledge in various business line products.
• Strong negotiation and customer service skills.
• Thorough understanding of commercial lines products, policy language, exclusions, ISO forms, and effective claims handling practices.
• Licensing may be required within three months of starting the job.

Responsibilities

• Directly handles assigned claims.
• Provides quality customer service and ensures file quality and timely coverage analysis and communication with insured.
• Consults with Manager on use of Claim Coverage Counsel as needed.
• Directly investigate each claim through prompt and strategically‑appropriate contact with appropriate parties to determine liability, damages and contribution.
• Represents the company as a technical resource and attends legal proceedings as needed.
