Job summary

McKinstry in Seattle is seeking a Senior Functional Training Program Manager to design and implement workforce development initiatives across the Construction Division. You will partner with SMEs and cross-functional teams to deliver training that builds project management, contract, risk, and operations capabilities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience leading training, learning, workforce development, or instructional design programs.
• Experience designing and launching scalable learning programs from concept through implementation.
• Experience conducting needs assessments and developing recommendations for workforce development initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and learning technologies.
• Experience partnering with Subject Matter Experts and leaders to translate needs into learning solutions.
• Ability to design and facilitate engaging learning experiences across instructor-led, blended, and e-learning formats.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills to drive adoption of new tools and processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evolve a division-wide learning strategy and roadmap aligned with business priorities.
• Create and sustain role-based learning paths and monitor completion.
• Assess capability gaps through leadership partnerships and performance insights.
• Translate contracts, risk, cost control, and scheduling into practical guidance.
• Design engaging learning experiences connected to job performance.
• Manage, coach, and partner with Senior Instructional Designer to coordinate trainings.
• Collaborate with SMEs across Construction, Legal, Procurement, Finance, and Operations to build content.
• Leverage LMS and reporting tools to support scalable delivery and measure impact.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
• Influence leaders to champion adoption of training programs and behavior change.
