Job summary

PremiStar is seeking a Senior Manager – Construction to lead a portfolio of commercial projects from planning through closeout. This role also oversees the Controls Department, aligning staffing, schedules, and project controls to ensure safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery.

You will guide construction managers, project managers, field teams, and subcontractors, driving performance, managing budgets and risk, and partnering with cross-functional groups to meet customer requirements and contract

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in commercial construction, HVAC/mechanical construction, estimating, project management, field operations, or operations leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level leadership for planning, execution, financial performance, and successful completion of multiple complex commercial construction projects.
• Establish construction priorities, resource plans, and master schedules to optimize labor utilization and subcontractor performance.
• Lead and develop Construction Managers, Project Managers, Project Coordinators, field leadership, and skilled trades teams.
• Oversee trades staff, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, contracts, and laws.
• Partner with Account Managers, Sales, Operations, Finance, Procurement, Safety, HR, customers, and subcontractors to align project delivery with objectives.
• Provide estimating, preconstruction, scope review, and risk assessment support for opportunities and change orders.
• Conduct jobsite reviews to monitor progress, safety, quality, productivity, staffing, and adherence to specs and standards.
• Develop and oversee vendor and subcontractor selection, scheduling, performance management, and contract compliance.
• Monitor budgets, job costs, productivity, forecasting, margins, billing, change orders, and KPIs to achieve financial objectives.
• Act as escalation leader for high-risk projects, customer concerns, subcontractor matters, labor issues, safety events, and field challenges.
