Job summary

Skanska USA Building is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead on-site execution across multiple projects in the San Francisco area. You will develop short- to mid-term tactical plans, supervise crews, ensure safety standards, and coordinate with internal and external partners to drive project success.

The role requires extensive construction leadership experience, strong scheduling and risk management skills, and a proven ability to mentor teams while aligning with Skanska’s values and project

Qualifications

• 15+ years of building and construction experience with top leadership across multiple projects.
• 8+ years actively creating a Safety and QA/QC culture
• 5+ years in a Top Leadership position for multiple projects
• 10+ years experience scheduling and prioritizing activities
• 8+ years experience identifying and dealing with Risk & Mitigation procedures
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop talent
• Proven experience stepping into a problem project and setting direction to correct issues
• Bachelor’s Degree - Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or similar or 8 years equivalent experience plus minimum 10 years prior relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute short‑ to mid‑term tactical plans that support the organization’s construction strategy.
• Oversee staffing, mentoring, performance management, and alignment with goals across multiple teams.
• On active construction sites, supervise operations, uphold safety standards, manage schedules, resolve conflicts, monitor subcontractor performance, and maintain project quality.
• Interpret plans and specifications, manage logistics, mitigate risks, and support business development efforts.
