Job summary

Skanska is seeking a dynamic Program Director in California to lead capital construction programs and multiple projects concurrently. You will manage project and construction management teams, mentor staff, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with a focus on quality and stakeholder collaboration.

The role requires 10+ years in senior project/ program management on buildings, strong leadership, and collaboration with owners, architects, engineers, and contractors.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience leading commercial and/or public sector building construction projects in California.
• Experience collaborating with owners, architects, engineers and contractors to maintain positive stakeholder relationships.
• Experience enforcing terms and conditions of project contracts.
• Experience working with authorities having jurisdiction and utility providers.
• Experience on jobsites providing construction quality assurance.
• Experience reviewing schedules and managing project risks.
• Experience with preconstruction cost management including budgeting and estimating.
• Experience managing design processes and ensuring complete docs on schedule.
• Experience reviewing drawings, specs, RFIs, submittals and product cut sheets.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage capital construction programs and multiple projects concurrently.
• Act as Owner’s Agent and oversee project management and construction management teams.
• Mentor staff, implement project controls and risk management, coordinate stakeholders.
• Communicate progress and ensure delivery within time, budget, and quality targets.

Education

Bachelor or Masters in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering
