Job summary

Amazon's Global Engineering Services (GES) North America Design & Construction team seeks a Senior Construction Manager to lead complex facilities delivery across the region, from design oversight and partner selection to contract negotiations, construction execution and handover for large-scale builds, retrofits, and expansions.

You will own project budgets, manage external partners, drive procurement, mentor other construction managers, and champion safety and best practices while coordinating

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or BIM, and scheduling software (Primavera, MS Project).
• 7+ years in architecture, engineering, construction management or related field.
• 7+ years of project management from design to handover.
• 7+ years negotiating construction, procurement, or labor contracts.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior owner's representative for complex projects across the region.
• Oversee end-to-end project management, design services, and external partner performance.
• Own budgets and oversee approvals; lead procurement functions.
• Lead partner selection, contract negotiations, and management of contractors and consultants.
• Oversee design and engineering, including evaluations and value engineering.
• Develop project strategies and allocate resources accordingly.
• Monitor performance, mitigate risks, drive corrective actions.
• Coordinate with AHJ for permitting and approvals.
• Champion safety programs and maintain safety culture.
• Write narratives and present decisions to Directors/VPs.
• Drive continuous improvement and playbooks for team.
