Job summary

Gleeds Corporate Services Ltd. seeks a Senior Construction Manager to lead delivery of a major energy project in the South East, New Mexico. The role demands senior leadership across engineering to closeout and extensive experience with large EPC contracts in regulated sectors.

You will coordinate with client, contractors, consultants and project controls to manage change, cost, schedule, safety and quality, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction management experience with leadership of major or complex projects.
• Proven experience managing large-scale EPC contracts and capital projects.
• Strong understanding of contract administration, risk, exposure, claims, change management and disputes.
• Experience managing major contractors and subcontractors.
• Experience in nuclear or highly regulated industrial environments is desirable.
• Experience aligning work with safety, quality, regulatory and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior leadership and oversight across construction activities for a major energy project.
• Lead delivery from Engineering through execution, commissioning and closeout.
• Manage large, complex contracts ensuring obligations and deliverables are met.
• Identify and mitigate contractual, commercial and construction risks.
• Review contracts, scopes, obligations, changes, notices and exposure.
• Coordinate with commercial and project controls on change orders, delays and cost impacts.
• Monitor performance against schedule, budget, quality, safety and objectives.
• Provide oversight of schedules and progress, identifying delays and recovery actions.
• Lead coordination meetings and drive accountability among stakeholders.
• Support procurement, contractor selection, bidding and contract negotiation as needed.
• Mentor construction management teams and identify delivery improvements.
