Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to oversee complex capital projects, including renovations and design-build efforts. You will act as Owner's representative, coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors to ensure successful delivery.

Ideal candidates have 10–15 years in commercial construction, strong leadership, and proficiency with PM software; travel 60–70% is expected across regions with long hours during critical phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field
• 10-15 years' related experience in commercial construction
• Advanced knowledge of building systems and construction processes
• Experience with large-scale or multi-site projects
• Proficiency with construction project management software; Procore preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead complex or high-value capital projects including renovations, expansions, ground-up design-build and build-to-suit construction
• Oversee multiple concurrent projects and provide regular updates to stakeholders
• Develop project scopes and translate requirements into detailed estimates to set budgets
• Manage project budgets, bid analyses, and contractor negotiations
• Lead cross-functional teams of architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors
