Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Design & Construction Manager to lead the design, planning,construction, and maintenance of our facilities and buildings. You will oversee regional construction projects within budget and timeframes, driving cost reductions and efficiencies as part of a strategic real estate program. The role requires a B.S.

in a related field and 5-7 years of commercial/construction experience. You will coordinate permitting, safety, and vendor management while ensuring alignment

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field (or equivalent).
• 5-7 years of experience in commercial construction, managing projects.
• Experience in industrial/commercial construction with growth focus.
• Strong communication, analytical and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Timberline, Marathon; familiar with MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Develop project scope with field ops and Real Estate managers.
• Manage turnkey delivery from site selection to close-out.
• Develop timeline to meet occupancy requirements.
• Coordinate permitting processes with scope and management.
• Ensure projects meet URI specifications and branding guidelines.
• Oversee safety, resources, budgets, and timelines.
• Review vendor bids and invoices for budget compliance.
• Ensure adherence to building specs and development standards.
