Woolpert in Austin, Texas, is seeking a Construction Inspector to join our CE&I team. You will support infrastructure projects from aviation to transportation, coordinating with engineers, project managers, and field crews to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and codes.

The role emphasizes quality control, reporting, and practical problem solving on site. We value hands‑on experience, OSHA credentials, and the ability to read drawings and tests.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Construction Management Degree and/or 5–10+ years of construction experience.
• Proficient in MS Office, Word, Excel.
• Ability to deal effectively with people at all levels.
• Knowledge of construction management, inspections, methods and materials.
• Knowledge of contract administration and pay estimates.
• Knowledge of soil analysis and density testing.
• Experience with dredging projects is a plus.
• Familiarity with construction observation reporting.
• Good daily report writing and quantity tracking.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• 10 Hour OSHA Construction Certificate or ability to obtain.
• Ability to visit and safely traverse construction sites.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D a plus.
• DOT Certifications or ability to obtain.
• Material Testing Certifications or ability to obtain.

• Increase responsibilities to perform construction management duties.
• Analyze and program independently with good judgment.
• Evaluate and apply standard techniques and criteria.
• Apply professional judgment while following Woolpert procedures.
• Perform quality control reviews and assist with QA procedures.
• Manage inspections of projects and materials for codes/standards.
• Ensure inspections are completed per contract protocols.
• Review and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Resolve minor operational issues with coordination with other departments.
• Communicate test failures to contractors.
• Lead teams in larger groups and provide input to strategic decisions.
• Produce daily and weekly reports.
